Botox cosmetic injections

Botox Cosmetic Injections are a very effective and safe treatment for wrinking,  deepening frown lines, wrinkling around the eyes and can be administered in the office of Dr. Ackerman.  This treatment is not permanent however it lasts several months and there is little to no pain or recovery.  All details of this treatment can be explained to see if this treatment is suitable for each patient.  All side effects will be discussed.

Botox Cosmetic is purified  protein administered in a simple non-surgical procedure that improves the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines.  The protein causes a temporary paralysis of certain muscles by preventing transmission of nerve impulses. These   injections block the nerve impulses which contain acetylcholine.  This will reduce the muscle movements   Many patients also are interested in Botox Cosmetic because if used in small quantities patients notice that they appear less tired and younger as well.  To find out more information on this cosmetic treatment, please call Dr. Ackerman's office at 973-748-7900.
